Default Rushing In

I dont know how many of u care about this but this is a problom my guild facr and i think arena net should adress normally and even so on PvPX weekend.
im talking about the whole idea of "rushing in on the guild lord" in GvG games.
as an active player in a guild thats on the 400-200 place we fell cheated to lose rankes just because the other group "rushed" our fort while we werent there, while some will say this is a good tactic i dont think so it shows a lack of skill and a wat of "cheating" the game by not fighting.
i suggest some manner of balancing this either more nc gourds to ho;d the guild lord alive longer or maybe boost his armor and hp.. or even better not allow entrence into the fort untill the whole other guild is dead.
just my 2 cents, ill be thankfull if any Anet reprisentetive can comment on this.
p . s

sorry for the mistakes im from israel

Use the tactics against them.
IF everyone keeps using the same tactics, you are familiar on what will happen. From there, make them think they got it down then swoop in for the kill or at least disrupt them and make them run.

Solution: Read the chat and then ping. The guild lord will say "Foes draw near!" or something.

Perhaps Anet could make this more obvious by making the NPC ping himself once when the enemies first come to him.

I've had a few problems with this. Mostly becuase our team got rooster(RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO)y, ran for the flag stand, aw one enemy put the flag there and then go "Oh, these guys must be a bunch of noobs!" Guild Lord: "I'm under attack!" "Get back to the... Blergh!!"

It's quick faction during the faction increase.

Guild Lord Rushing = Embarrasment for those who fall for it.

Great faction, great tactic.

3 out of 4 games I have been in today have done this. It is nearly impossible to counter. This isn't fun or balanced game play. This needs to be stopped.

All you can do is just defend better I guess. Have more mesmers and pacifying monks or something. I doubt this will be fixed very soon.

Pacifying Monks are damn near impossible to run effectively in my experience, cause someone inevitably misses or misreads your call and whacks away at who you just pacified, totally wasting your effort. Mesmsers and Necros seem like they'd be decent at at least slowing this kind of tactic down, since they can disrupt nicely and otherwise cause mayhem among the rushers.

I can't think of the elite, but it just completely pacifies everyone in the area. If they're all attacking your guy, it shouldn't be too hard. Especially with a mesmer with Echo and Arcane Echo so you'll have 4 pacifies.

Amnity, Kai.

It's not a problem at all if you have two mesmers in the group. Most rushers I have seen just wind up getting themselves killed, then leaving. Atleast against my guild's mesmers.

I donnu, I was alittle peaved about being rushed 4 times, our build wasn't very good. But still, people shouldn't be able to get 900-1200 faction just by opening a gate and fragility spamming one person.

Something should be done. I mean, it's understandable this weekend to farm faction like maniacs. I just hope the trend doesn't continue.

I would like to fight an actual battle once in a while instead of camping our guild lord.

We meet this more times than I would have liked. Usually ended as easy faction for us. Most of the people that used this would log out if it did not work the first attack.

It appears that some of the guilds have created a mirror guild (or smurf guild as one of our players called them) to use the tactic for quick farming. That way a loss did not blemish their record. To bad A.net could not figure out the guilds that formed right before the weekend, had a large bunch of players over the weekend and come Monday or Tuesday are small or no longer exist and add the losses to the guilds those players came from.

There's a reason ANet put two routes through each each guildhall. Rushing the guildlord is that reason. Just guard the intersection and you'll block the gank.
